Limited Opening Hours

As the Coronavirus situation develops over the coming weeks in Santa Clara county, Silicon Valley Lines will be closed to the public through the end of May.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

The Black Widow @nilescanyonrailway. Join SVL for our virtual open house on Saturday July 16th 10am to 3pm Pacific. Visit our website at siliconvalleylines.com for more info and to sign up. A little bit of ops at SVL last night. SVL 4400 is a bit confused by the railroading term "calf". SVL recently got a new tool to make running MU and DPU easier. Speed matching goes a long way to smooth running Canadian Pacific is doing a power move of two of their new Honoring Military units through SVL territory. January Ops was a little different this year. Due to the current state of the world we chose to postpone ops at SVL for a month, so instead we did remote ops @ @bouldercreekyard. The remote engineer chose to use the SD70ACu for switching everything proving where there's a will there's a way. Remote Engineer Hakk pilots Train 98 into Bakersfield Yard. Engine ATSF 715 is being piloted by a young man from England during our Fall Open House.
