Towering above the valley floor below, the High Line cuts across the very top of Ebbetts Pass on a long, spindly trestle before the track enters Tracy.
Due to the nature of the trestle, there’s a near permanent slow order through this area, just in case the troublesome cars or mother nature decide to have a bit of fun with the passing train. Engineers with long trains always have to be careful that their loads don’t straighten out the curve – it’s a long way down.
